Getting started
Moor runs from your menu bar. The first time it opens it saves your current Dock — before it changes anything — as a profile called Default, and keeps a separate copy you can always restore.
Requirements
- macOS 26 (Tahoe) or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
- Accessibility permission for app badges, minimized windows and jumping to windows (Moor asks when a feature needs it).
The setup guide
On first launch Moor opens a short guide (you can reopen it any time from the menu bar → Setup Guide…, or moor://setup):
- How Moor runs your Dock — pick one:
- Keep Apple's Dock: Moor saves and switches its apps and settings. Nothing new appears on screen.
- Replace it with Moor's dock: glass docks on any edge or display, with widgets. Apple's Dock hides.
- Use both: Apple's Dock stays and Moor's docks sit alongside it.
- Permissions — each one switches on specific features; skip any you don't want:
Permission What it's for Accessibility Badges, minimized windows, window menus, jumping to an agent's window Notifications Agent finished, revenue milestones, the daily recap Calendar The Next Event widget and the Calendar peek Screen Recording Window previews when you rest on a running app (optional) - Connect your services — widgets that need an API key (Shopify, Stripe, RevenueCat, App Store Connect, GitHub) are listed; add keys in Settings → Accounts & Keys. Keys are stored in your Mac's Keychain.
- Shortcuts — the keys worth knowing (see Automation).
Getting your old Dock back
Choose Restore Original Dock… in the menu bar or Settings → General → Your Dock. Quitting Moor also brings Apple's Dock back. See Privacy & safety.
