Profiles
A profile is a whole Dock setup: which apps and folders are in Apple's Dock, its appearance (size, magnification, position, auto-hide), and which Moor docks are shown.
Dock modes
Each profile has a mode:
- Apple's Dock — Moor switches the real Dock's apps and settings.
- Moor's docks — the real Dock hides and your Moor docks appear.
- Both — the real Dock stays and Moor's docks appear too.
Switching
| How | Default |
|---|---|
| Jump to profile 1–9 | ⌃⌥1 … ⌃⌥9 |
| Back to the last profile | ⌃⌥` |
| Profile picker | ⌃⌥Space |
| Next / previous | set in Settings → Shortcuts |
| Undo the last switch | menu bar → Undo Last Switch (or set a shortcut) |
| Swipe | optional trackpad swipe, Settings → General |
| Link | moor://profile/<name> |
| Shortcuts / Siri | “Switch Dock Profile” |
Undo restores exactly what the Dock was before the switch.
Automatic switching
- Monitor setups — Settings → Automation: save a profile for each arrangement of displays (for example “laptop only” and “desk with three monitors”). Moor switches when you plug in or unplug.
- When Focus turns off — pick a profile to return to.
Saving the current Dock
Menu bar → Save Current Dock as New Profile… captures the real Dock as it is now. Update “…” from Current Dock refreshes the active profile.
