Why Your Mac Dock Is Slow to Pop Up, and How to Fix the Delay
A hidden Mac Dock feels slow for two reasons: a pause before it starts moving, and the slide animation itself. Apple's Mac Help describes auto-hide as an on/off setting and mentions no speed or delay control, so most guides send you to Terminal defaults write commands.
